The Los Alamitos “Socceroos," a girls under-14 AYSO team, coached by Cyrus Sorooshian, won their second consecutive AYSO Tournament, winning the 2005 Mission Viejo Classic; - - giving them the other "book end" trophy to match their Area 11-K Spring Tournament in Huntington Beach. This meant that they had won both the tournaments they had entered after a very successful spring season.
The Socceroos won their pool in three victories with scores of 2-0, 6-0, and 3-0 over teams from Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, and Rancho Santa Margarita.
