The Los Alamitos “Socceroos”, a GU14 Rec team, won the 2005 Area 11-K Tournament for Recreational teams in May. Socceroos won their pool with three very exciting victories with a combined score of 5-1. In the championship game they faced the winner of Pool A, a very good team from Encino. Socceroos managed to win this game with a score of 2-0.
Coach Cyrus Sorooshian thanks the players for a great thrill, and the families and friends who traveled and stayed almost the whole weekend.
