After playing Spring Select the previous year together and playing against older girls, The Riptide was set to take on girls their own age. Taking 2nd in the Cerritos Turkey Tournament, the girls were ready to show the Orange County All-Star Regions that Los Alamitos is a region to reckon with.
After winning all three games in their pool, the Riptide finished as the top seed and entered into the Finals. They finished strong, beating Mission Viejo 6-0 to win their first tournament title. The Riptide outscored their opponents 15-1 in the tournament with 8 of the 10 girls scoring a goal. Great defense and a balanced offense led to our successful tournament. GREAT JOB RIPTIDE!
