| 2004 Mission Viejo Classic Tournament GU14 Champs! |

The “Los Alamitos Reds”, a GU14 Rec team, won the 2004 Mission Viejo Classic Tournament in June. The Reds won their pool with three victories and a combined score of 9-0. In the championship game they faced the winner of Pool A, a very physical team. At the end of regulation time the score was a 0-0 tie, and the Reds won it in the third “sudden death” over time period of the “California Style Shootout” It was a very exciting but nerve-jarring experience for the players, coaches, and the fans.
Coach Cyrus Sorooshian wants to thank the players for a great thrill, and the families and friends who traveled far and stayed the whole weekend to support the team.
Reds also won the Spring season Area 11-E GU14 Recreational division with a record of 8-1-1. One remarkable achievement for the team was that every player in this team scored at least one goal.
