The Los Alamitos Girls Under 12 tournament team, coached by Rob Sossaman and Mark Bennett, won 2001 Cypress Memorial Day Classic by defeating Cerritos 1-0 in a hard fought Championship game. The Los Al girls had a tournament record of 5 wins, no losses, and one tie--giving up only 1 goal along the way.
